Who We Are...

Chi Alpha Campus Ministries is a Christian campus ministry on universities throughout the United States and around the world. We are a movement of college-age men and women earnestly following Jesus. We are not a fraternity or sorority. We invite everyone to be a part, regardless of background.

We meet on campus in groups of varying size and style. These gatherings are informal, infused with music and interaction, and cover topics from relationships to the nature of truth. These meetings are opportunities for students to meet God, each other, and the needs of the community.

In the Bible, the Apostle Paul wrote in 2 Corinthians 5:20, "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making His appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf, be reconciled to God." Inspired by this verse we chose the phrase "christou apostoloi," meaning "Christ's sent ones," to represent who we are. The Greek letters Chi (X) and Alpha (A) are the initials of this phrase, which reminds us that we should live to reflect Jesus' life.

Chi Alpha truly has shown me how to walk in obedience with Christ by
reflecting upon scripture to use as a sword over my life. Through Chi
Alpha bible study we have walked through the books of James,
Revelations, and Romans and touched upon main subjects that raise
questions within the Bible. I applauded Chris and Amber for being
leaders of faith and reflecting Christlikeness towards me through their
love for the Father. They have both humbled their lives towards my
relationship with Christ in walking alongside of me by pouring God’s
word and desires into my heart.

   Chi Alpha is just not a bible study I attend on Thursday nights. I have
developed a new community in Christ with each individual within the
group through cookouts, game nights, countless football games,
scavenger hunts, church lock-in, dinner at the Farms Daughter, corn
maze, Easter Sunday, and the Knoxville Zoo!

   My spiritual relationship with God has grown deeper throughout the past
two years and Chi Alpha has deeply impacted my walk. I have chosen to
pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance, and
gentleness. To truly fight the good fight of faith and guard what has
been entrusted in my care from the Lord. God has placed a peace over my
heart and life that words cannot describe. Philippians 4:7 explains…
“God’s peace…is far more wonderful than the human mind can understand.
His peace will keep your thoughts and your hearts quiet and at rest.”
